This site is for our Active Blogs to read about current Globacate news. Also, used for keeping track of our Support Campaign. Our first stop is Iloilo, Philippines along with Guimaras, Panay`s sibling Island. We are hoping to accomplish the following:

Well, this Coronavirus thing has led to Philippine President Duerte decision to lockdown Manila. Meaning no travel into or from the area beginning March 15th, I am supposed to fly to Manila on March 16th. Currently Philippine Airlines posted that they are working with the government on guidelines concerning to ban, aka lockdown. So I guess I wait.
(Sheland and Lance)
Today I discussed programming languages such as HTML, CSS , PHP and Python with these two bright students. Planning future meetings with schools and possible venue sites. Also we discussed the general plan, processes and intentions of the Globacate project.
My meeting at the DENR went fairly smooth. I travelled solo to Guimaras. Just for the record 120 pesos from Injap to Ortiz Wharf, 22 pesos pumpboat ferry to Jordan, 15 pesos on the Jeepney from Jordan to Buena Vista. Met with my associate for lunch at Pitstop. Lunch was Bangus Sisig with Mango and Mango Pizza. Another 15 pesos Tricycle ride to DENR.
The purpose of the meeting was to gather information to create an application that would be useful but yet dynamic. At the meeting I met the core team of several departments. Topics discussed were about Timber, land regulations, certificates I already knew Guimaras produced large amounts of Mangos but didn`t know they have many fruit trees and did not produce rice. The maintenance of Ecology and how processes were coordinated through the Central Office were other parts of our discussion.
My two nieces ( first cousins) learning CSS and HTML and a bit of PHP. The challenge I face as an educator is knowing how to manipulate teaching methods. The more I get better with creating visual examples, the quicker people learn.
I`m beginning to realize that environmental issues are more of a factor hindering concentration and capabilities One, it`s hot and most places do not have air con running all day. My lap top wants to overheat. If you buy a laptop here in the Philippines it may have cooling paste installed. So keep that in mind! You can damage your U.S. Built laptop here with excessive heat!
We have created our own ONLINE Lesson Interface. Although students will learn mainly on-hands in class, the online web-app interface allows educators to provide follow up lessons online. It is responsive and works great on phones too! So there is no excuse to get your assignments done right! LOL.
Students can try the interface NOW by logging in with their PageMall account. If the student wants guidance they must let the educator know their username so they can connect and share.
Mayong Aga (Good Morning). The project is beginning to spark interests. I wrote a proposal to the DENR of Guimaras to set up a meeting. Teaching students how to code will require projects so my thoughts is to present ideas to government agencies. My background as a Production Control Analyst can be an asset when presenting analytics and how they can improve efficiency within an organization.
Since Web Development is one of our key products, I can`t help myself thinking of our competition. Other companies building Web Builders is somewhat a threat to this project however, me: non-stop-analyst, can see where our competitors lack poise. This morning I discovered a cool Logo Maker Tool Online. The leading Web Builder (Won`t say their name LOL) claims they have integrated a logo builder within their interface and service. Now I can say "Who cares!" I found a better logo making tool online.
