ECM NOVICE DEFINITION
ECM-Novice: an individual who wishes to compete in one of the following Competitive Fitness Categories (Bodybuilding, Bikini, Figure, Men’s or Women’s Physique, or Classic Physique), and has not placed in the top 2 in a NPC, IFBB, or a Nationally recognized Natural Bodybuilding Organization that qualifies that individual to compete in a National Level Show.
However, if an individual has competed and placed in the top 2 in an open division of a nationally recognized fitness organization, and he or she may still be eligible to compete as a novice, so long as his/her entry is for a fitness category different than the category competed in a Nationally Recognized Fitness Organization.

Who`s eligible? Anyone that`s competed before and lives in East county: proof of residency required.
NOVICE SHOW DEFINITION
Definition
ECM-Novice: an individual who wishes to compete in one of the following Competitive Fitness Categories (Bodybuilding, Bikini, Figure, Men’s or Women’s Physique, or Classic Physique), and has not placed in the top 2 in a NPC, IFBB, or a Nationally recognized Natural Bodybuilding Organization which qualifies that individual to compete in a National Level competition.
However, if an individual has competed and placed in the top 2 positions in an open division fitness category for a nationally recognized fitness organization, he or she may still be eligible to compete as a NOVICE, so long as his/her entry is for a fitness category that’s different than the category he/she had previously competed in for the Nationally Recognized Fitness Organization.

1. Qualifications
a. One coach and 3 athletes participating in a ECM bodybuilding competition
b. Roster minimum 3 competitor
c. Team Package must include: Team Roster, individual Registration forms, and a coach’s Registration form submitted together, along with the combined total of the appropriate registration fee amount due
2. Coach, and each team member must submit a copy of their photo ID along with registration form. Coaches and Contestants must present their original, to match what we have on file, For check-in status and to receive coaches badge and competitor numbers.

Arm Wrestle, Push Ups, Pull Ups
THE CHALLENGE
Hey Strong boys and girls, Men and Women, Grandmas and Grandpas sign-up and Compete in the 1st East County Muscle Calisthenics And Arm Wrestling Competition.
A. This competition requires that each athlete compete in 3 exercises for repetitions (reps): 1) Push-Ups; 2) Pull-ups; and 3) Box Jumps.
B. Each Athlete gets one (1) attempt at each exercise and must complete his/her set within a 60 second window of time. Once time has lapsed, his/her set is over and completed. However, if an athlete is in the process of completing a rep as the clock expires, said rep should be counted in the total if the athlete completes the full range of the movement which constitutes a repetition.
C. Each athlete will receive a ranking based upon their 3 exercise cumulative score and shall advance to the next round according to subsequent rounds qualifications cut off
D. These rules are not a final lists; fore this is a new and developing enterprise, and as such, will adopt, modify, define and revise as needed to maintain the integrity of this competition as a fair and challenging sporting event.
STRENGTH CHALLENGE RULES
Arm Wrestling
- Each athlete will be guaranteed two matches
- Each match has a 30 second time limit.
- If a clear winner fails to be established within regulation time during matches 1 or 2; each athlete would be awarded a TIE for that round. However, if athletes enter the third round of the match-up all TIEd up, the third round will be the final and determining round.
- In the event that a 3rd round ends and causes a tie match-up in a TIE after 3 rounds, the competing athletes shall accept the final out-come of a coin-toss, heads or tails flip, shall determine which athlete advances to the next round of the competition
- The athlete that bests 2 out of 3 wins in a match, advances to the next round of the championship bracket.
- Loser of the match goes to the consolation bracket, and will remain in the competition until he/she earns his/her 2nd defeat.
Once an athlete is relegated to the consolation bracket, he/she has the opportunity to finish the tournament as high as 3rd place.
Calisthenics

Push-ups
- Start position: palms on floor (hands shoulder width apart), arms locked, feet together touching floor (women: knees together touching floor)
- Complete Repetition: Triceps must be parallel to ground (90 degree angle) OR chest touch the judges fist to count as a complete repetition. Arms must straighten upon each repetition.
- Competitor will have one minute to complete as many repetitions as possible
- Competitor may rest in between reps; but he or she, cannot lay down during rest break.
Pull-ups
- Start position: Hang from the bar, timers clock starts the second the competitor makes an engaging upward movement towards the High-Bar.
- Complete Repetition: Competitors chin must reach the bar and then arms must fully straighten to hang position for the judges to count the movement as a complete repetition.
- Competitor will have one minute to complete as many repetitions as possible
- Competitor may rest in between reps; but he or she, cannot lay down during rest break.

ARM WRESTLING RULES:
Rules
I. Each athlete will be guaranteed two matches, and contiues in the competition

Our show has been hosted in Brentwood since 2014. We have seen our numbers grow from a total of 15 competitors and a little more than 50 spectators in 2014; to over 50 competitors and almost 200+ spectators in the audience in 2017. This event has been mutually beneficial to our sponsors by giving them all the opportunity to attract new customers through having their respective businesses listed on our stage banner, website, and flyers.
