On the Job Training at Astoria Plaza Hotel, Manila
I love cooking, watching movies on TV, and spending time with my family. We have many dogs but my favorite is Bunji. My favorite movie is Pamilya ko on province travel. I also enjoy dancing and have some interests with Hip Hop. My favorite food is estupado (sweet banana leaves with pork).
Currently I am a student studying for my Bachelors Degree in HRM. I am currently enrolled at Iloilo State College of Fisheries, Dumangas Division. Our on the job training was in Manila, Philippines at the Astoria Plaza Hotel. Eleven classmates took the trip with me on November 2019 through January 2020. The total cost of boarding, transportation and training was 23000 pesos.
The trip lasted approximately two months. The curriculum was to learn house keeping F&B (Food and Beverage), Customer Services and Housekeeping.

We flew CebuPacific Airlines from Iloilo to Ninoy Aquino Airport, Manila. My first experience on plane. In mid flight I began to feel sick and had a headache. I didn’t know the CR (restroom) on planes were so tiny! The flight was only one hour but had to vomit because we experienced some turbulence.
When I arrived at Manila airport we all took a taxi to Astoria Plaza Hotel. The hotel tower had 35 floors. Students stayed at a boarding house. Some of the foods we ate during the trip was:
Adobo, hotdog, itlog, eggplant, and sometimes there was fish and chicken.

First few weeks, We learned house keeping such as changing bedsheets, coffee tray set up, cleaning, restocking supplies and organizing the room. At the restaurant we learned proper dining room table settings and also how to serve water.

It takes about 45 minutes to set up a 3 room suite with 4 workers. Cleaning was the most difficult because every item had to be cleaned. We serviced 8 rooms everyday for 3 hours. In the course of two weeks. Zed De Guzman was our supervisor.

NCII - CERTIFICATE.
Next part of the training was learning office tasks and duties. Upon completion we were to receive the NC2 National License.
